First of our question and answer videos!!

We mentioned a while back that we would be starting to answer questions we’d had relating to health, fitness and weight loss via a video – we thought that way we could maybe reach more people – hopefully in turn helping more people.

This first question was from one of our members:

“Should you change your portion / nutrition needs in relation to the amount of exercise you do?”

It is a difficult question – particularly as it will depend on the person asking.  For example if you area someone training for an event / sport etc you will be looking to fuel yourself to get the best possible energy levels / recovery / outcome for your event or sport – it is very likely that you will be in taking more kcals / nutrients to help. Compare that to someone looking to lose weight who will be most likely looking reduce heir energy intake – which type of person asking will dictate the answer.

For the purposes of the video we guessed the person was asking in relation to losing weight so answered it accordingly – what did you think – did it make sense?

Online Personal Training

Online personal coaching has been an area of training we have been looking into for a while now – it has always come with its own pro’s and con’s and we have sat on the fence as to whether or not we could offer it in the past. However, we now feel as though there is enough readily available ‘tech’ to make this something not only feasible but something that we can be genuinely excited to offer.

What is it?

We are offering a simple package that will have the following:

  • A detailed and progressive programme designed for the individual – simple to follow and updates live as you complete it
  • Help with nutrition – this is bespoke to the individual and related to their specific goals. If fat loss / weight loss is the goal this part is crucial to a persons success
  • On going messaging and support – the live system means it is easy to keep in touch to ask questions, post feedback or just reach out for support.
  • Accountable – one of the key things we have found is keeping someone accountable for their training. Knowing that someone will be aware if you miss a session or drop off your training helps massively in keeping people moving towards their goals
  • Continual assessment to ensure the programme is working – as a trainer we need to see how you are progressing – this system makes that easy so allows quick changes to be made as needed.

The cost for the above will be £25 a month – no contract – no other costs are needed and you don’t need to be a member here – in fact one of the best parts about online training is the person can be anywhere in the world with access to equipment or not. We decided on that cost as that is our normal hourly one to one rate – online coaching is far more time efficient for us and we wanted to pass that saving on to our clients.  Continue reading
